Sophie Hackett
she/her
Sophie Hackett is a Senior Associate who works with the entire Community Solutions team to facilitate positive change.

Sophie knows that no one person has all the answers—if someone claims they do, run the other way. Successful, evidence-based, community-centered solutions stem from intentional engagement with those most affected. She believes the most valuable skills are those that help bring these stories, experiences, and ultimately, solutions to the forefront of the conversation.

Sophie has experience across diverse sectors, including non-profit community development, government, and private industry. With a talent for fostering impactful connections, her most recent role focused on Corporate Partnerships, bridging large corporations with small businesses, particularly those owned by women and BIPOC individuals. Before that, Sophie served as Chief of Staff to Colorado State Representative Leslie Herod, where she played a key role in passing significant legislation to improve the lives of Coloradans.

Sophie holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Hope College and a graduate degree in Social Work/Organizational Leadership and Policy from the University of Denver.
Why are you passionate about what you do at Community Solutions?
I thrive being part of something greater than myself. Every project, regardless of its scope, contributes to fostering happy, healthy, and prosperous communities. It’s fulfilling to draw from my own experiences while continually learning from those around me.
What inspires you?
Nothing inspires me more than an underdog. Whether it's an athletic achievement, a political victory, or entrepreneurial success, the determination to succeed against the odds motivates me to push beyond my limits and strive for excellence in everything I do.
If you could offer advice to a younger version of yourself, what would you say?
Trust your gut. Stay curious. Question everything. Seek out fun.
